At long last, we have our first large content update being released to the live network. Alongside this, we want to give you an idea of what you can expect from us for the next few months as updates may be slower due to the development of the new game.
Firstly, let's get the changelog for this update out of the way!
Changed how holograms generate to make it easier to create personalised and universal holograms.
Changed how fake players are handled to make it easier to manage.
Added /plugins command for curious players interested in the plugins we created.
Added 3 new parkour courses: Easy, Medium and Hard.
Parkour leaderboards are shown as holograms next to the parkour.
Added Quick Teleports in the Server Navigation Menu for all 3 new parkour courses.
Changed the Open Crates holograms to now show how many you have available to open.
The view crates menu will now display the number of each individual crate you have.
Parkour Statistics are now tracked in the Stats Menu.
We've been a bit quiet over the past few weeks about what's happening behind the scenes, so I thought we should give you an update on what to expect over the coming weeks/months.
But first, we have a small changelog of some bug fixes and a couple of quality of life changes:
Bug Fix Update
- Fixed 'OG' Achievement being given to players who join after release week.
- Decrease the time it takes for the crate platform to disappear after a crate has been opened.
- [Paintball] Fixed an issue where the game wouldn't end if the last player on a team quit.
- [Crystal Quest] Simplified game description in order for players to find it easier to understand how to play.
- [FFA] Players will now lose hunger over time, which can be regenerated by attacking players.
What's been happening?
Honestly, not too much other than bug fixes at the moment. As I do currently work full-time and I am due to go back to University at the end of September, I have been super busy. That doesn't mean we've been doing nothing though, as we have some very exciting things coming in the future that's been super exciting to plan and start development on soon!
The next planned update will be a parkour update in the Lobby. As some may know, I develop a free, open-source Parkour plugin hosted on Spigot. As a result, I don't imagine this update will take long to complete so you can expect that super soon. I am planning on throwing in some extra surprises so keep your eye out for that update!
We do also have another game planned but this is a bit more complicated. It was originally planned for release but due to the complexity of the game, was pushed back so we could concentrate on getting the network as ready as possible! Our current aim for the release of this game is Christmas but may get pushed back depending on work, Uni, etc.

Who are we?
We're just a group of gamers with a passion for making great things and making a community people want to be a part of. AuroraMC has been a passion project of ours and has been in development for over 4 years. While it's taking us a while, we're super excited to share what we've been working on, and we hope you all are too!
What is AuroraMC then?
AuroraMC is the culmination of 4 years worth of planning, development and testing. We've thought into miraculous detail about every aspect of the network and what we wish we got out of some of the other Minecraft networks. While there are likely to be some oversights, we have spent hours upon hours coming up with and developing advanced systems and features to cater to everyone's needs.
What is unique about AuroraMC?
Our aim from the beginning has been to make your experience on our network as painless and enjoyable as possible. As a result, we've developed systems to make your lives easier. We've spent hours coming up with Quality of Life features, such as our expansive party and friends system for playing with friends, or reporting and staff tools to deal with those pesky rule breakers.
One of the most important unique things: Our Games! We wanted to bring both the general player base, as well as the Competitive community something to play. Our feature game, Crystal Quest, is our take on the Competitive scene and we're hoping that the Competitive community love what we've done with the game. We've also created some unique twists on well-known games, such as our Paintball, Backstab and Arcade Mode games. We also have several games planned in the near future (including an open-world type game), so keep an eye out for that in the future!
As we're a group of gamers at heart, we've also know people want to feel a sense of achievement when they do something...
